Mirador is a series of workshops and presentations promoted by Obrador de Moviments. It combines participatory workshops and presentations of works in progress or already completed, allowing the audience not only to witness the work, but also to become part of its process. Mirador is an invitation to look at, feel, and experience art in a lively and intimate way.

CRISTINA CASADIO
In this new session of the cycle, we welcome Cristina Casadio, a dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in Berlin, with an international career in contemporary dance. After a professional path that led her to study at institutions such as the Merce Cunningham Studio and the Peridance Center in New York and to work with European companies, Cristina has presented her work and taught classes around the world, exploring the language of the body, the relationship with spaces and objects, and the search for a movement that transcends technical and narrative conventions.
“NOWHERE”
“nowhere” is a solo that creates a world where the absurd and the ingeniously illogical nature of dreams find their own scenic language. Inspired by surrealism, the piece proposes that when objects are removed from their usual context and the body becomes the narrator, doors can open to new ways of perceiving and imagining. It explores transformation and the acceptance of change—of the body, of the gaze, of the environment—and advocates for the importance of curiosity, ambiguity, and dreaming as creative forces.
“nowhere” has been presented in a variety of international contexts and performance spaces, including theatres, festivals, and alternative venues, engaging in dialogue with diverse audiences. The piece has been shown in different European cities, as part of programmes that support scenic research and contemporary creation, and has adapted to intimate formats that enhance proximity with the audience.
WORKSHOP
The workshop is inspired by the creation process of nowhere and invites participants to explore how the relationship between body and object, detached from the objects’ usual function, can generate movement qualities and scenic images. Through this relationship, dynamics, actions, and presences will be developed that encourage an expansion of both bodily and creative awareness.
